Advertisement for hiring individual Consultant for North Eastern Region (NER)

Applications are invited from the individuals for contractual engagement for initial period of two years, which may be extended from time to time, for carrying out detailed project evaluation and monitoring of proposals received for funding by Export Development Fund Cell (EDF) of Ministry of Commerce.

Applications from individuals for the above post should be submitted on plain paper, giving details of qualifications, experience, correspondence address, contact details etc. Necessary documents should accompany the application.

Candidates based in NER will receive priority. The selected candidate is required to be stationed at Guwahati. He / she will be expected to guide, assist and do hand holding of desirous entrepreneurs, in suitably amending their proposals according to the requirement of EDF guidelines. He / she will be further expected to be involved in implementation of export focused development programmes in NER, appraise & evaluate the proposal from the point of view of viability, economy, financial cost & benefit analysis having export intentions etc.

 The Consultant is required to perform the following functions:
  • Receiving the project proposals.
  • Evaluation of proposal as per the laid down conditions of MoC / APEDA.
  • Recommendation to APEDA for considerations of sanction of individual proposals.
  • Project monitoring.
  • Project inspection, follow-up and the related activities.
  • Coordination with Ministry, State Government, EPC and any other related agency.
  • Provide periodic feedback and function as per the directions of APEDA / MoC.
  • Attend to any other activity as directed by APEDA

 The consultant would be paid a fixed consultancy fee of Rs. 35,000 per month for performing the above functions.
